The Tree of Life was created in 1997. Its charter members aimed at creating an organisation able to implement effective actions to protect children and safeguard as well as promote their rights to grow up in a safe and suitable environment.
Since its foundation, The Tree of Life has committed itself to promoting effective actions aimed at ensuring well-being, protecting and promoting rights, encouraging the development of children, their families and the communities to which they belong, both in Italy and in the world.
The Tree of Life strives to achieve a world where every single person is free to seek a greater awareness of him/herself and of his/her own purpose in this world; it works towards the achievement of a self-education process aimed at the continuous improvement of oneself and of one’s own contexts of reference.
A world where the dignity of childhood is recognized and which it is entitled to as well as its own genuine potential regarding innovation and its contribution to be safeguarded and developed within every environment by means of coherent approaches and appropriate methodologies.
The Tree of Life’s vision of man and of what he/she is capable of becoming has been inspired by the “Pedagogy for the Third Millennium” principles and approaches of the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation for Development and Communication.
