On July 28, 2022, the Tree of Life in partnership with the Directorate of Children Service – Njiru Sub-County office held the first Care reforms awareness campaign in Ruai, Nairobi. The meeting brought together Religious Leaders, Nyumba Kumi representatives, Child Protection Volunteers (CPV) and Children Officers from Njiru Sub-County with the aim of sensitizing them on the importance of Kinship and Foster Care services for children out of parental care, in line with the newly launched Care Reforms by the Government of Kenya.
The stakeholders were called upon to support the implementation of the Care Reforms by referring potential Foster parents to the Sub-county Children office in Njiru for assistance. Let’s do it together!
